When:  Monday, June 14th 2010 (Flag Day)  
The event will take place rain or shine unless the course is deemed unplayable, in which case re-scheduling or re-funding will be determined.  

Where:  The Club at River Oaks in Sherman, CT.  (An exclusive private golf club)

Address:  2 Evans Hill Road, Sherman, CT 06784.  

Directions:  Interstate 84 to Exit #7. Route 7 north past New Milford, CT to Gaylordsville. Left turn onto Route 55, River Oaks is on the corner of Evans Hill Road, the second right, the big yellow building.  It is within a quarter mile of Route 7.  (Approximately 30 minutes from I-84)  Parking lots to the left and down below to the right.  

Who can come:  Everyone is welcome, all Districts, registered leaders or not, folks involved with Scouting or not.   

How much:  $175.00 each.  Full refunds will be given up to 30 days prior to the event.  

Tournament details:   

T-time:  10:00 AM  

Shotgun start, teams of 4, best ball.  Every team must use at least one drive from each member.  Singles and doubles will be matched up with others at the event.  

Registration starts at 8:30 AM with a full continental breakfast included, and a pre-game putting contest.  Fee and prizes for putting contest to be announced.   A wonderful Bar-B-Q lunch is included at 2 locations on the course, open for 3 hours from 11:30 to 2:30.  Eat as much as you want.   Free soft drinks are included at 2 locations on the course all day.  (All Pepsi products) Beer will be available for purchase at these 2 locations on the course.  

Mulligans are for sale @ $5 each, maximum of 4 per person.    

A $10,000 hole in one prize on a Par 3 is included for all at no additional charge, first swing only, Mulligans don’t count.  If any golf pros happen to be playing they will not be included.   

There will be a prize for closest to hole on one par 3, fee and prizes for this to be announced.   There will be a prize for the longest drive on one hole, Scout’s Honor marking, open to all, no fee.  Prizes to be announced.  

At the closing ceremony there will be a cash bar and hor D’orves included. (fancy stuff, not just crackers and cheese)  Soft drinks will still be free.  Everyone will be home in time for supper.  

Dress Code:  Not a uniform event, no jeans, no sweats, men wear collared shirts.  Soft spike golf shoes only.  

Sponsors: Sponsors are welcome.  Sponsor a hole for $100 and your company name and logo will be posted at the T.  Sponsors for prizes are asked for too; we will take anything including golf or scouting related.  More hole in one sponsors are welcome, good way to advertise your product. 

River Oaks is sponsoring a foursome golf outing worth $500.00.  How to win this will be announced.
