Scatacook District’s Contribution to BSA’s Good Turn for America

Let’s make “helping the hungry” a part of our District’s culture

Make food donations part of each Unit ‘s program.

Make food donations part of each District-wide event.

How to Do It:

Plan – Advertise – Collect – Donate – Report

Suggestions:

Ask each Scout/Scouter to bring a can/box of food to each Troop/Pack/Crew/OA meeting

Ask each Scout/Scouter to bring a can/box of food to each campout

Ask each attendee to bring a food donation to a Court of Honor or Blue and Gold

Ask each attendee to bring a donation to a Camporee/Klondike Derby, District Pinewood Derby, Me and My Shadow, WLOT, etc.

Ask each Scouter to bring a food donation to each Roundtable

What’s Next??

Each Unit should try the program as part of at least one upcoming event

(before the summer)
